  His post specifically asked how* Broadsword complied with the GDPR (general data protection regulation). This person said in his post that he made an email specifically for his DAoC account, and nothing else, and that it was being sent spam from other companies or whatever... It was an interesting post and I was hoping to see what @Broadsword had to say about it, but I can't find it anymore

  Huge data, must worth millions. Btw, I got 3 Gmails, one not used anywhere except using to drive a few thing there, yet it gets a few ads. Although who knows what EA stores, based on GDPR, you can ask for stored data on you I think. Anyway, I highly doubt Broadsword itself would sell any info since the whole database not worth more then a few cents based on the size of the playerbase.
