Scout / arrow mechanics

I'm returning from 10+ years. A scout used to have to stock arrows and buy more when low/out. Has this mechanic changed?

I'm already to level 30 and I don't appear to consume any arrows. I have purchased 200 but must be missing something. Any help is appreciated. :)

    you dont need arrows anymore. your shots are more like a spell now just fire them.

    Archery was changed a long time ago which made them spells but you can choose your type of arrow with an instant buff in your archery line

    When you are making your Scout temp, make sure you have Spell Damage, Spell Range, Spell Pierce, etc, just like a caster.
