  • @Vrisslar it was the one on SM/Cabs, where you did argue DZ and NS were better than what Dark SMs got. But I I just want to stick to arguments for game changes on their merits alone - for the class/spec in question and considering how well they fit…
  • @Vrisslar in the other threads, Vrisslar
  • @BurkleyRIP Yeah I play a tic, and it was a powerful class even on release. On par with Bains, Healers, Shaman, Sorcs, etc. But there have just been more and more buffs to range, duration, survivability, etc. At this point a lot of it is like win…
  • Mostly because there are a ton of RMs everywhere. But you could counter ... "So if I palyed my Friar with ST that's ok, but if I play my Minstrel it's not?"
  • @Vrisslar the way you've been coming in in support of Xyorman et al's position has made it seem like it. Carol did explain the taunt change as you said. Again, your argument initially was that it should be given to SM and Chanters because Cabs go…
  • @Gavner That's precisely wrong and I agree with you on several points and proposals. One non-charge hybrid per realm? Sure, why not, it's not a huge deal. But I think I was succinct when I said Mids whining about Albs getting more stun was like a…

  • @Vrisslar This whole thing was precipitated by Mids whining about Alb getting ST on a second class. And again, with taunt, I'm arguing against that same rationale, not what actually happened. It is good that Carol explained the change, but once a…
  • @Vrisslar @Gavner Then you both missed my point. My point was that changes should come as they address weaknesses and legitimate complaints. Alb's AOE is weak and continues to be weak, and Cab PBAE was added to help alleviate this weakness. Is Mi…

  • Agree with these design justifications across the board. Body Spec is a bit weak, but I'd say only mildly. Otherwise it would be reasonable for SM tap to go up to 187, since they are at a higher spec required. @Beetleguisse base LT does edge out …

  • @Vrisslar A lot of things were removed during the overhaul. There is an Animist pet with a casted taunt and I believe some BD pets use taunts and taunt styles. They were simply migrated over to different classes when pets were evened out between …
  • @Vrisslar When it comes to pets, I'm sure Cabs would love to trade taunt for intercept, or the Body line for the Dark line for that matter. Taunt is one of many things Mythic could have added to Jade Sim for it to fit their design vision of the p…

  • Gavner wrote: » AoE stunn is great, but let's not forget, that DET classes simply twitch once, and go walk away. Then it should be fine to add one Smite Clerics of course. Also most targets do not have Det, and Det does I believe work on ST tic…
  • @Beetleguisse I would personally prefer AOE Stun over ST, straight-up. AOE Stun does give an immunity, but when you're getting the most value out of it it's for bombs - and being dead will get rid of immunity too. For the combo, think about how d…

  • @Vrisslar I'd agree that there has been a bit too much CC in the game.
  • As an aside, the reason why ST is a high stakes game is perhaps because there is a perceived lack of internal balance between RAs. That's to say everyone sees ST has being very high value and thus clamors to have more of it. Perhaps bumping up ot…

  • PW necro snare lasts a few seconds and has a reuse of 1 minute. Valk is cone AOE and lasts 30 seconds with a 30 second re-use.
  • Skalds are hybrid tanks, which is why they're on a much higher WS table on minstrels, don't require instruments, and get free 2H. Savage getting climb walls would be interesting, and it fits their class. Though it's not totally necessary.

  • It's just always been this way, and I think the devs are still well aware.
  • @Beetleguisse All lifetap damage is enhanced, multiplicative, by a one-tenth factor of their delve lifedrain%. This applies across the board to all lifetaps. Level 50 baseline lifetaps get x1.05, Reaver styles get something like x1.08, etc.

  • True. Balance issues have always been delicate; they shouldn't be. It's something the players and devs should be actively discussing.
